2-Year Old Preschool Class
Our Preschool learning begins with our 2 year old preschool class. We begin to lay down the foundation for successful development with our 2 year olds by practicing alphabet, shapes, and colors. We use many techniques, like rhyming, physical play, and story time to grab the attention of our little learners and keep them interested. We spend time monthly doing crafts together to enrich hands on learning. These tots enjoy free play in our great outdoor area where they can work out the wiggles! (weather permitting)
3-Year Old Preschool Class

It is with our three year olds that we dig a little deeper, we start developing the alphabet by spending one week at a time for each letter. We practice letter writing form, and sounds, with homework being sent home so our parents can see their children's progress. We use many different teaching tools, like magnet letters, dry erase boards, and worksheets to help our kids get a feel for the classroom setting. We start teaching counting, 1-10, and the writings of these numbers too. This classroom also teaches personal learnings, like writing their names, and recognizing it, and their description, what color hair they have, is it curly, and so on. This helps our kids learn about themselves and their classmates. We teach nutrition with the help of our kitchen and the lunch room environment by doing crafts and projects that sometimes involve food. This class is really the biggest stepping stone to our children's early learning and their educational beginnings.
Transitional Kindergarten Class
We really start to see each child develop in great strides in this class. We spread into groups so we can spend greater time with more focus. Depending on the curriculum, these kids put their personal touch on their learning. Writing their names, the alphabet, counting and writing letters and numbers and applying them to everyday items that they see everywhere. With guided free play that also helps the kids apply their learning, like board games, puzzles, rhymes, and songs that help develop days of the week, months of the year and so forth. Each child is tested twice during the year, once in the beginning, and before preschool graduation so we can see their progress, they love to see how far they've advanced. They love to show their work and how proud they are that they will soon be kindergarteners, and they'll have the fundamental basics already down pat!
